A stroke of genius

In this constantly changing world, Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne thinks that innovation is everything. As a chef, writer and entrepreneur, Lucinda is set to give her recipe for successful innovation and how everyone can be a part of it next week at TEDxGlasgow 2018, helping us to rethink our outlook on the challenges we face.

A mother and entrepreneur, Lucinda says that the best ideas come to her when she is out running by the sea. So, what drove her to apply to speak at TEDxGlasgow? We caught up with her to find out more.

What is your idea worth doing?

Embrace your inner shed.

How did you come up with your idea?

The idea came to me over many years of innovating in my shed, which was, in essence, my kitchen.

How is your idea going to change the way we look at the world?

I hope that it will help people to realise that everyone can be a force for change. That we all have the potential to create.

Who has inspired you?

I’m constantly inspired by my children and the many people in the community following restricted diets who deserve delicious food, just like everybody else.

Who else are you excited to see at TEDxGlasgow 2018?

I’m really looking forward to seeing Phillipa Waller and Kirsty Wark in particular.
